(Ikshef) – Egyptian YouTube satire presenter Mohamed Mamdouh revealed the details of his arrest for 18 days from his home before 25 April demonstrations – which opposed handing control of Tiran and Sanafir islands to Saudi Arabia – and the insult he faced.
Mamdouh had a lot of video clips, which criticize ironically the Egyptian regime policies, as well as its symbols.

Mamdouh faces nine charges, including joining a terrorist group, trying to overthrow the regime, inciting violence and demonstrations, burning state buildings and spreading rumors. The case is still pending. He was released on bail paying 20000 LE (about $ 2000).

He said he was interrogated twice, severely insulted, threatened not to be released and that his mother and sister could be raped or that he may be photographed in the nude and pictures could be circulated online.

“I told the State Security officer and the prosecutor ‘I do not see that I am doing something wrong to stop it, either programs or videos, if that is wrong I will stop already by myself, I say my personal opinion anywhere, anytime, and nobody should force me to stop me doing so”, he said.
