Arab Media Freedom Monitor “Ikshef” denounces the decision of Israeli occupation authorities to close Al-Jazeera offices in Jerusalem in accordance with the decision of authorities of countries besieging Qatar where the channel is based.

Ikshef stresses that the decision is a vicious aggression against a channel that play its role professionally and contribute to information flow transparently for the Arab audience everywhere. Also, this decision indicates new aggressive Israeli intentions in Al-Aqsa mosque compound and perhaps other places under the Israeli occupation.

Ikshef Also condemns Egypt’s Al-Ahram foundation banning of the publication of Al-Mesryoon newspaper in violation to article 71 of the constitution which forbids completely closing newspapers or banning their publications by any means.

Also, Ikshef condemns the decision of Youm7 newspaper’s administration of forcing a number of journalists to submit a long unpaid leave because they expressed their opinions opposing handing Egypt’s Tiran and Sanafir islands to kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Ikshef fully support theses journalists, Al-Mesryoon newspaper and  Al-Jazeera news channel.
