e freedom of the media with the German prosecutor’s decision to release media figure Ahmad Mansour after his arrest for a period of two days by international police, “The Interpol” at the request of the Egyptian authorities.

The Arab Monitor said the Mansour’s release is not only a victory for him, but one for freedom of the press for journalists around the world, it is also a slap on the face on the ruling authority in Egypt, which targeted press since the first day of July third coup, where they closed many channels, newspapers, news sites, social networking pages, and had also resorted to the detention of dozens of journalists by fabricating charges, while issuing absurd provisions against many of them, and then pursuing them through Interpol later without any credibility what so ever.

The Arab Monitor calls for the international police organization “Interpol “”to commit to it’s proficiency in its work, and not to be dragged by the claims of repressive regimes hostile to public freedoms such as the Egyptian regime, so do not turn the Interpol from contributing to the realization of international justice and respect for human rights to being a tool in the hands of the repressive regimes to pursue political opponents and throw them in prison and torturing them to death.

The Monitor also calls for human rights organizations in Egypt and the world to cooperate and move quickly to stop chasing political opponents in Egypt and other countries that suffer from the tyrannical regimes
