A number of journalists and bloggers have launched an initiative to blog about jailed journalists in Egypt as a means to highlight their cause locally and internationally and to mobilize the necessary support to demand their release and treatment in their jails, and to improve conditions of their temporary custody.
Journalist Alaa Bayoumi leads the campaign, who said that that blogging campaign will tackle all prisoners without any discrimination because of their attitudes or opinions. He added that the bloggers do not belong to political groups or faction.
The campaign works in coordination and cooperation with the families of imprisoned journalists who provide adequate information about their prisoner relatives.
The campaign calls on all who wish to join it to interact across its page on Facebook
